Certified Units

All the PEFC certified units are listed in the PEFC Council Database at www.pefc.org. All the PEFC certified units are listed in the PEFC Council Database. The international database will be updated once a month. The database will also show companies notified for offering PEFC certification in Norway. In order to ensure unambiguous information the PEFC Norway web site entry will link you directly to the international database. There are two types of certification, forest management certification and chain-of-custody certification. (More information at the Facts sectionen)

Forest management certification is certifying the forest property and the forest operations on the property and the logs and other products produced in that forest. Chain-of-custody certification is certification of the value chain from the forest to the final consumer, ensuring that the raw material in the forest products originates from PEFC certified forest holdings.

PEFC Norway notifies companies that are entitled to offer PEFC certification in Norway. Some are notified for both forest management and chain-of-custody certification, while others are certified for one type of certification only.
